Brad Brinkley grew up in a small Texas town about 30 miles southeast of Houston, known as Baytown. His father, Emmitt, played fiddle with several professional groups, including Johnny Lee and Mark Chesnutt. Brad was continuously surrounded by music and soon began singing at churches, fairs and festivals. While still in high school, he formed a band and played at venues in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana such as Cowboy’s, the Longhorn Club in Vinton, and Cutter’s in Beaumont.
